About Training in Care
Training in Care (TIC) is a regionally based training organisation and consultancy, delivering quality original training packages to care workers. All Training in Care trainers are qualified teachers, signed to the National Training Organisation (N.T.O) Code of Practice and are committed to Continuous Professional Development. T.I.C. achieved Lead Training Provider Gold Standard status with Skills Active an employer sector skills national organisation. TIC delivers accredited training by CACHE and SQA and offers the following key services:
Early Years Training
An extensive range of Early Years accredited childcare training. Professional development courses can be bespoke, including topics such as Behaviour, Special Needs, Heuristic Play and Risk Assessment to name a few. Early Years Consultancy
The Trainers at Training in Care have a wealth of experience in the Care sector. A range of consultancy is offered, including working alongside regional partnerships; providing input to strategy on both a national and regional level with relevant bodies, and working with Colleges of Further Education. During 16 years in business Training in Care Ltd has developed from a sole trader, designing and delivering continuous professional development courses; to a training company designing and delivering both accredited and bespoke professional development courses from orientation to degree level in the UK.
The company has won numerous awards for the design of workforce development solutions in the field of child and adult care and has recently become the Lead Training provider in the UK for Skills Active, an employer representative forum who endorses innovative training solutions which are employer and employee focused.
In 2007 Training in Care invested its profits for the benefit of its students and created a social enterprise offering employment.
To date we can evidence in excess of 200+ jobs created through this vocational training into employment model.
In 2013 our CEO achieved her doctorate on her research into training linked to employability and skills through a model she describes as an employer incubator. Dr Brown partnered 5 European countries for a bid to replicate this South Tyneside model across Europe, and is; a Trustee Board Member of a Sector Skills Council, Chair of England Playwork Education Training Council and England's representative for employers in the UK.
